Alberta M. Sayres

Alberta M. Sayres, 86, formerly of Lancaster, PA and more recently of Cassville, PA, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Embassy of Woodland Park, Orbisonia, PA.

Born March 25, 1937 at Lancaster, PA, she was a daughter of the late Ira and Thelma (Bachman) Bostic. She was united in marriage to Richard E. Sayres on May 4, 1963. Mr. Sayres preceded in death on January 8, 2023.

She is survived by two sons, James Sayres and wife Debra of Holtwood, PA and Jeffrey Sayres and wife Melissa of Etters, PA. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Curtis Sayres and Kayla Sayres and one brother, Ira Lloyd Bostic, Jr. of Lancaster.

Mrs. Sayres was a member of Hope In The Valley United Methodist Church, Cassville, PA. She had also served as treasurer of the Salvation Army Auxiliary for many years and was a lifetime member of the Trough Creek Valley Fire Company.

She retired from the former Lancaster Press, now Cadmus Communications, Lancaster, PA..
