Alice C. Sheeder, 90, of Cooks Road, Cassville, PA, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at UPMC Altoona.
Born January 25, 1932 in Wells Twp., Fulton Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Ruth (Schenck) Newman. She was united in marriage to Dale C. Sheeder in 1949. Mr. Sheeder preceded in death on July 30, 1986.
She is survived by eight children, Dennis Sheeder and wife Karen of Calvin, PA, Karen Kauffman and companion Robert of James Creek, PA, Timothy Sheeder of Todd, PA, Carl Sheeder and wife Debbie of Cassville, Trudy Smith and husband Curtis of Three Springs, PA, Kelli Bookheimer of Cassville, Sandy Carowick and husband Steven, Jr. of Todd and Cindy Parks and husband Monty of Mapleton, twenty two grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and one great great grandson and three siblings, Laura June Martz of Hustontown, PA, Ray Newman of Mercersburg, PA and Rodney Wible of Harrisonville, PA. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Williams, one son, Terry, who died in infancy, one daughter in law, Carol Sheeder, one son in law, Mark Williams, one grandson, Timothy Skipper, Jr. and two brothers, Frank Newman and Willis Wible.
Mrs. Sheeder was a member of the Trough Creek Valley Community Church, Todd, PA.
She was last employed as a cook at the former M & M Restaurant, Huntingdon, PA and prior to that at Greif Brothers Manufacturing, Inc., Mt. Union, PA.
She enjoyed doing puzzles and word searches and especially enjoyed cooking for various family gatherings.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Trough Creek Valley Community Church, 19802 Sugar Run Road, Todd, PA with Rev. Timothy Martin officiating. Interment will be made at Cassville Cemetery. Friends may call at the church 6 - 8 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
