Alma M. Greenland, 89, formerly of Smith Valley, Huntingdon County, PA and most recently of Hollidaysburg, PA, died Monday, January 27, 2025 at Garvey Manor, Hollidaysburg, PA.
Born on January 15, 1936 in Smith Valley, Huntingdon County, PA, she was the son of the late Jesse and Olive (Cutshall) Yocum. She was united in marriage to David W. Greenland on July 10, 1954. Mr. Greenland preceded in death on February 20, 2022.
She is survived by children Barry Greenland and wife Carol, Winterville, NC, Rocky Greenland and wife Lorraine, Altoona, PA and Cherleen Sunderland and husband Larry, Saltillo, PA. Seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and sister Jane Miller also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband, siblings Chet Yocum, Meda Kissel and Art Yocum preceded her in death.
During her lifetime, she was a farmer’s wife who spent many days milking cows and tending to her large garden. She loved going to different local auctions with her husband. She was a very active member of the Smith Valley community, always lending a helping hand.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
