Betty J. Querry, 93, of Hares Valley Road, Mapleton, PA, died Saturday, August 31, 2019 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg.
Born December 7, 1925 at Mapleton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Adda (Hunt) Dell. She was united in marriage to E. Zane Querry on August 27, 1954. Mr. Querry survives at their home.
She is also survived by two sons, Larry Querry of Mechanicsburg, PA and Randy Querry and wife Rachel of New Market, MD, one granddaughter, Katherine Querry and three siblings, Bill Dell of Towanda, PA, Barbara Stains of RD, Three Springs, PA and Ben Dell of Williamsport, MD. One brother, Bob Dell of Baldwin, MO, preceded in death.
Mrs. Querry was a member of the former Latta Grove United Methodist Church, RD, Mapleton, PA, where she served for many years as a Sunday School teacher. After the closing of Latta Grove she became a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Three Springs, PA. She graduated from Mt. Union High School in the Class of 1945.
During her life she was mainly a homemaker and in her early years was employed by the J. C. Blair Co., Huntingdon, PA.
Mrs. Querry enjoyed baking, especially pies.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA with Pastor Ron Folk officiating. Interment will be made at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, RD, Mapleton, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
