Dennis A. Baker

Dennis A. Baker, 75, of John Bum Road, Huntingdon, PA, died Monday, August 21, 2023 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA.

Born June 19, 1948 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late William Baker and Verna (Svrcek) Baker Crofcheck. He was united in marriage to the former Dena Black on December 27, 1968. Mrs. Baker survives at their home.

He is also survived by three children, Richard H. Baker and wife Jody of RD, Huntingdon, Robert E. Baker and wife Kara of Thurmont, MD and Brook D. Thompson and husband Jeffrey of Petersburg, PA, five grandchildren, Tara Ellenberger, Alicia Baker, Claudia Sheetz, Paige Baker and Morgan Baker and two siblings, William Baker and wife Kathie of Hollidaysburg, PA and Mary Jamison and husband Terry of Orbisonia, PA.

Mr. Baker was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was last employed at Containment Solutions, Inc., Mt. Union, PA. He also owned and operated Baker’s Custom Cooking for many years.

Mr. Baker was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
