Frederick C. Scott

Frederick C. “Fred” Scott, 84, of Cassville, PA, died Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at his home.

Born on January 21, 1939 in Colfax, Huntingdon County, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Martha (Greenland) Scott.  He was united in marriage to Janice Smith on February 14, 1959.  Mrs. Scott survives at home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Mitzi Wright and husband Dana, Cassville, PA, Susan Price and husband Fred, Cassville, PA and Sherry Berg and husband Hank, Huntingdon, PA.  Also surviving are grandchildren Stephanie Stultz, Sarah Blackie and husband Tony, Scott Price and wife Shelby, Margie Berrier and husband Josh, Josh Ayers and Michelle Ayers, great-grandchildren Sophie Stultz, Zayne Spell, Aiden, Brody and Avery Berrier and Bella, Fiona and Lyla Price.

One brother, Dean Scott, survives of Pine Grove Mills, PA.  Brothers Clifford Scott and Robert Scott preceded in death.

He is also survived by his special dog Boomer, with whom he was very fond of.

Mr. Scott was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

He was a member of Hope In The Valley United Methodist Church, Cassville, PA.

During his lifetime, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 6, 2023 at Hope In The Valley United Methodist Church, 268 Maple St., Cassville, PA with Pastor Rick Anderson officiating.  Interment will be at Cassville Cemetery, Cassville, PA.  Friends may call at the church from 6 - 8:00 PM on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
