Helen J. Nease

Helen J. Nease, 97, of Cassville, PA, died Monday, January 15, 2024 at Pappus House, Thomasville, PA.

Born January 17, 1926 at York, PA, she was a daughter of the late Delbert and Bessie (Peters) Smith. She was united in marriage to Arthur E. Nease on April 28, 1945 at York, PA. Mr. Nease preceded in death on April 5, 2011. 

She is survived by three children, Susan Smeltzer, Kathy Stump and husband Gary and Brett Nease and companion Dianna, all of York, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. One brother and two sisters preceded in death.

Mrs. Nease was a member of the Hope In The Valley United Methodist Church, Cassville, PA. She was also active in the Salvation Army during her life. 

She was employed by York Telephone Company for many years as a service representative and was also a model for J. C. Penney.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Hope In The Valley United Methodist Church, 268 Maple St., Cassville, PA.
