James H. Dell, 85, formerly of Huntingdon, PA, and more recently a resident of the Masonic Homes, Elizabethtown, PA died Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Masonic Home, Elizabethtown.
Born August 30, 1934 in Cass Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of the late Geroge Wesley and Nettie Mae (Parks) Dell. He was united in marriage to the former Darlis H. Crownover on June 7, 1958 at Mt. Union, PA. Mrs. Dell survives at the Masonic Home.
He is also survived by two children, James W. Dell and his wife Esther of Hummelstown, PA, Debra L. Sahd of Lancaster, PA and two sisters, Myrtle Sherick of Shirleysburg, PA and Betty Bloom of Tyrone, PA. Five sisters and two brothers preceded in death.
He attended the Community Chapel of Hesston, Orchard Road, Huntingdon, PA. He retired in 1996 from Pennsylvania CareerLink after 20 years of service in both Indiana, PA and Huntingdon, PA.
Mr. Dell was a veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard, serving from 1957 until 1963.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Cornelius Chapel Cemetery, RD, Mapleton, PA.
