John C. Hockenberry, 73, of Cassville, PA, died Sunday, July 7, 2024 at UPMC Altoona.
Born July 7, 1951 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late John Junior and Betty Jane (Crotsley) Hockenberry. He was united in marriage to the former Connie Wible on July 12, 1974. Mrs. Hockenberry survives at their home.
He is also survived by two daughters, Tammy L. Hamman of Cassville and Trudy S. Dickinson and husband Brian of Three Springs, PA, two grandchildren, Jeremy S. Hamman, Jr. and Bentlee J. Dickinson, five siblings, Jeannette Hess and husband William of Todd, PA, Bonnie Price and husband Butch of Mill Creek, PA, Shirley Everts and fiance Gregory Bain of Needmore, PA, David Hockenberry and wife Lyn of Mapleton, PA and Patty Oswald and husband Tim of Three Springs, PA, a sister in law, Carla Panosetti and husband Rocco of Three Springs and a number of nieces and nephews. One daughter died in infancy.
Mr. Hockenberry had attended the Beavertown Bible Church, Todd, PA.
He retired as the owner/operator, along with his wife and daughters, of T & T’s Restaurant, Three Springs, PA after 20 years. He was also the owner /operator of Hockenberry’s Logging and was engaged in farming and as a truck driver for a sawmill.
He loved and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA with Pastor Ben Holler officiating. Interment will be made at Cassville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 9 PM on Wednesday and 2 PM until the time of the service on Thursday.
