Randall Hollingshead Obituary

Randall G. Hollingshead, 74, of Todd, passed away peacefully at Westminster Woods in Huntingdon on June 18, 2025.

Born in Cassville, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Stapleton) Hollingshead. In 1979, he married Connie Eichensehr, who survives him after 46 years of marriage.

He is also survived by his three daughters: Kim Gervase and husband Dave of Holly Springs, NC; Heidi Morningstar and husband Ryan of Saxton, PA; and Kerianna Ickes and husband Derek of Schellsburg, PA; along with seven grandchildren: Allie, Tucker, Abby, Tessa, Sophia, Emma, and Rhett. Also surviving are his siblings, Darla Crotsley, Frank Hollingshead, and Carolyn Turco, as well as a close circle of friends whose loyalty and presence in his life will not soon be forgotten.

A lifelong resident of Trough Creek Valley, Randy graduated from Southern Huntingdon High School in 1968. He spent his entire career in construction, working alongside his father in their family business, the Hollingshead Cabinet Shop. A master craftsman, Randy's skill and dedication were evident in every project he touched. His shop was more than a place of work - it was a spot where many found their way for a story, a laugh, or simply good company.

Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and golf. He was a lifetime member of the Rocky Ridge Sportsman Club, a member of the Trough Creek Valley Fireman’s Association, a member of Cromwell Masonic Lodge #572, and served for many years on the Beavertown Cemetery Association. He also served behind the scenes helping every Girl Scout troop and 4H club his daughters were a part of.

In 2000, Randy purchased a property on Shady Maple Road and built it into the Bitter Goose Lodge, a rental that became a gathering place for family, friends, and visitors. True to his nature, the lodge reflected his craftsmanship, care, and desire to create something lasting. It became a place where memories were made and traditions began.

Randy will be remembered for his quiet strength, his steady presence, and his deep love for his family and hometown. His legacy lives on in the people he touched, the community he served, and the countless structures that bear his mark.

A private service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Hospice of your choice in his memory.
