Richard L. Hicks

Richard L. Hicks, 83, of Cassville Road, Todd, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, December 30, 2023 at his home.

Born December 20, 1940 at Allenport, PA  he was a son of the late Howard and Dorothy (Isenberg) Hicks. He was united in marriage to the former N. Darlene “Pat” Smith on February 25, 1961 at the Cassville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hicks preceded in death on January 27, 2022.

He is survived by seven children, Colleen Curfman and husband Wayne, Cheryl Hicks and husband Jamie Buckley, Tina Hicks-Kern and husband Chris, Jodi Cresswell and husband Tim, Stacy Mansberger, Richard D. Hicks and wife Leslie and Joel R. Hicks and wife Jackie. 

He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Austin Curfman, Collin Curfman, Natalee Buckley, Cristina Kern, Chandlar Kern, Jamie Hicks, Abbey Hobble, Jordan Mansberger, Macie Hicks, Cole Hicks, Jarrin Hicks, Jentry Hicks and Jaelyn Hicks and seven great grandchildren, Carter Curfman, Keira Curfman, Riley Curfman, Grace Curfman, Emma Curfman, Kennedy Curfman and Daisy Kern-Patterson and one brother, Larry B. Hicks. He was preceded in death by twin infant sons, one brother, James Hicks and one sister, Sherry Rinker.

During his life he was engaged in dairy farming, construction and brickyard work..

The most important aspects of his life were his family, his farm, his dogs and his cows.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the Beavertown Church of God, 18341 Beavertown Road, Todd, PA with Pastor Joseph Myers officiating, Interment will be made privately at the Trough Creek Valley Baptist Cemetery, Calvin, PA. Friends may call at the church from 4:00 PM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
