Roger L. Sheeder

Roger L. Sheeder, 69, of Wells Tannery, PA, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College, PA.

Born May 4, 1952 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late James and Helen (Keith) Sheeder. He was united in marriage to the former Dolores “Dee” Johns who preceded in death.

He is survived by four children, Tracy Sheeder of DuBois, PA, Stacey Miller and husband John of Lillington, NC, Travis Sheeder and wife Linda of Three Springs, PA and Dan Sheeder and wife Brooke of McConnellsburg, PA. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one brother, Arthur Sheeder of Fayetteville, NC.He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Ithel and Jack Sheeder.

Mr. Sheeder graduated from the Southern Huntingdon County High School in the Class of 1970.

During his life he was employed as a diesel mechanic.

An accomplished musician, he enjoyed playing bluegrass gospel music.

Mr. Sheeder was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Marine Corps in Da Nang.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA. Interment will be made at the Trough Creek Valley Baptist Cemetery, RD, Calvin, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
