Sam Taylor Obituary

Sam Taylor, 71, of Orbisonia, PA, died Sunday, July 6, 2025 at his home.

Born January 30, 1954 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of the late Edward Cave and Lois Taylor who survives of Orbisonia. He was united in marriage to the former Tammie Campbell on November 3, 1989. Mrs. Taylor survives at their home.

He is also survived by seven children, Michael Taylor and wife Tammy of Carlisle, PA, Sam Taylor, Jr. and wife Dawn of Huntingdon, PA, Crystal Taylor of Huntingdon, Josh Taylor and wife Christy of Martinsburg, PA, Jessie Shouse and husband Damien of Orbisonia, Bobbie Taylor and companion Robert Cutshall of Three Springs, PA and Sammie Taylor and companion Jeffrey Sauders of Orbisonia, a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and one brother, Herbert Cave and wife Wendy of Mt. Union, PA. Four brothers, Bobby, Michael, Terry and Rick Cave and two sisters, Wanda Lee Cave and Carolyn Taylor, preceded in death.

He retired after many years as an over the road truck driver and after retirement was employed as a school bus driver. 

Mr. Taylor enjoyed hunting and fishing, had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for his story telling.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA with Rev. Faith Anderson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
