Samuel O. Varner

Samuel O. Varner, 62, of Happy Hills Road, Huntingdon, PA, died Monday, June 22, 2020 at Penn Highlands Huntingdon.

Born February 17, 1958 at Huntingdon, PA, he was a son of Orne Varner of Calvin, PA and the late Rosie (Prough) Varner. 

He is survived by his companion, Carol Hockenberry of Shaver’s Creek, PA, two siblings, Dale Varner of Calvin, PA and Helen Allen of Robertsdale, PA, a nephew, Gene Varner of Calvin, who was reared in the Varner home and several other nieces and nephews.

For most of his life he was employed in the lumber industry then later retired from Slates Salvage, Three Springs, PA.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, PA. Interment will be made at Wright Cemetery, RD, Calvin, PA.
