Shirley A. Varner

Shirley A. Varner, 71, of Cassville, PA, died Sunday, March 22, 2026 at her home.

Born October 23, 1954 at Ephrata, PA, she was a daughter of the late Willa Mae Hurst. She was united in marriage to John E. Varner who preceded in death on April 27, 2018.

She is survived by three children, Todd Hurst and wife Cathy, Billy Varner and companion Melissa Heck and Melissa Booth and husband Bryan, one stepson, John H. D. Varner, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one brother, Ron Hurst and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Varner and one brother, Gene Hurst.

Mrs. Varner was a member of the Trough Creek Volunteer Fire Company. 

During her life she was a screen printer in the clothing industry.

She was a family oriented person who enjoyed playing cards with her grandchildren, bingo, being outside with family and cooking.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
