Vera G. Lynn

Vera G. Lynn, 96, formerly of Cassville and Hares Valley, died Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Graystone Manor, Huntingdon, PA.

Born May 17, 1928 in Lack Twp., Juniata Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Laura (Mackamire) Bilger. She was united in marriage to Carl Lynn, Sr. on June 2, 1951. Mr. Lynn preceded in death on December 26, 2004.

She is survived by three children, Darlene Bumgardner of Huntingdon, Debra Covert of Orbisonia and Carl Lynn, Jr and wife Pegge of Huntingdon. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Amy Bumgardner Crouse, Bradley Bumgardner, Kelly Rowe, Kristy Dick, Scott Covert, Hannah Lynn Nichols and Eric Lynn and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons in law, Gerald Bumgardner and Joe Covert, seven brothers and eight sisters.

Mrs. Lynn had been a member of Otelia Mennonite Church and more recently of the Beech Run Church of the Brethren, Mapleton, PA. She was also a member of the Jack’s Mt. Lioness Club.

During her life she was a homemaker and also provided babysitting services for friends and later for grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA with Pastor Ernest Dell officiating. Interment will be made at Bowman’s Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
