W. Glenn Wright, 92, of Cassville, PA, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at his residence.
Born on August 27, 1933 in Union Township, Huntingdon County, PA,, he was the son of the late Walter and Gladys (Wilson) Wright. He was united in marriage to Lillius Neville on July 5, 1953. Mrs. Wright preceded in death on August 23, 1991. He later married Kathleen Vestich, who preceded in death on June 23, 2025.
Mr. Wright is survived by son Derek Wright and wife Sue, daughter Betsy Whitsel and husband Mark and son Scott Wright and wife Carol, all of Cassville, PA. Nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and brother Gene Wright, Cassville, PA also survive.
He was also preceded in death by brother Bernard Wright, sister Lois Christine Wright and grandson Shaun Glenn Wright.
Mr. Wright was a graduate of Robertsdale High School.
He served as treasurer and board member of the Huntingdon County Conservation District for many years.
Mr. Wright was a long-time dairy farmer and later a cabinet maker in the Trough Creek Valley. He constructed cabinets for 27 kitchens and made other various furniture throughout the years. He also constructed Wright’s Car Wash in Cassville. In his early 40s, he started running, participating in 5k, 10k, and triathlon races and after many qualifying events, participated in the Boston Marathon. He belonged to a local group of runners known as the Mountain Pounders. He was known to have an affinity for John Deere and would be seen frequently riding his Gator around the Cassville area.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA with Pastor Dan Mansberger officiating. Private interment will be at Trough Creek Valley Baptist Cemetery, Calvin, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service on Thursday.
